Refund Policy
Last updated: 24 June 2026
This Refund Policy explains how cancellations, renewals, and refunds work for paid subscriptions to the IPTruth services. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. IPTruth is a trading name of Athlok Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]) whose registered office is at [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS] ("IPTruth", "we", "us", or "our").
All prices are stated in US dollars (USD) and are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Where value added tax (VAT) or another sales tax applies, it is added at checkout.
1. Plans this policy covers
This policy applies to our paid subscription plans (currently Pro and Business), to annual billing where offered, and, except where a signed order form or master agreement says otherwise, to Enterprise plans. Our Free plan carries no charge and is therefore outside the scope of refunds.
2. Our general position
Subscription fees are charged in advance for each billing period (monthly or, where selected, annual). Except where this policy or the law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for:
- partial billing periods, or time remaining after you cancel;
- unused API requests, lookups, or allowances;
- downgrading from a higher plan to a lower one; or
- periods during which your account was active but you did not use the Services.
3. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing support@iptruth.com. When you cancel:
- your subscription will not renew at the end of the current billing period;
- you keep access to your paid plan until the end of the period you have already paid for; and
- you are not charged again unless you re-subscribe.
Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not, by itself, refund the current period, except as set out below.
4. Renewals
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period using the payment method on file, at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel. We will tell you in advance of any price change affecting your renewal, as described in our Terms of Service.
5. If you are a consumer (UK and EU)
If you are an individual buying for purposes outside your trade, business, craft, or profession, you are a "consumer" and you have additional rights that this policy does not take away.
14-day cancellation (cooling-off) right
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days from the start of your subscription to cancel a distance contract and receive a refund. Because the Services are supplied online and give you access straight away:
- by subscribing and starting to use the Services, you ask us to begin supplying them immediately and within the 14-day period; and
- you acknowledge that once supply has begun you will lose the right to cancel for a full refund. Where the Services are treated as digital content, you agree that supply begins, and the cancellation right is lost, as soon as you are given access. Where they are treated as a service, you may still cancel within the 14 days, but we may charge you a proportionate amount for what you used up to the point you tell us.
If you cancel within the 14-day period and we have not yet started supplying the Services, you are entitled to a full refund.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects your non-excludable rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Services must be supplied with reasonable care and skill, and any digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If we fail to meet these standards, you may be entitled to a repair or re-supply and, where that does not fix the problem, to a price reduction or refund. For more information about your rights, contact your local Citizens Advice or the relevant consumer authority.
6. Refunds we may give at our discretion
Separately from your legal rights, we may at our discretion offer a refund or account credit, for example for a confirmed and material service fault, a prolonged outage not covered by a separate service level agreement, or a billing error. A goodwill refund in one case does not oblige us to give one in another.
7. Billing errors and duplicate charges
If you think you have been charged incorrectly, contact support@iptruth.com within 60 days of the charge. We will investigate and refund any amount we agree was charged in error.
8. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend or downgrade your access until payment succeeds. Suspension for non-payment does not entitle you to a refund or credit of fees already due.
9. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first so we can help. Starting a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us may lead to suspension of your account while the matter is resolved.
10. How to request a refund
Email support@iptruth.com from the email address on your account, and tell us the plan, the charge, and the reason. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method through our payment processor (Stripe) and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when it last changed. Changes are not retrospective and do not reduce rights that have already accrued on purchases you have already made.
