Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 10, 2026

IPTruth ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and API services.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and company name. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects billing information on our behalf.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with our services, including API call volumes, endpoints accessed, timestamps, and response codes. This data is used to provide the service and generate usage analytics in your dashboard.

IP Address Data

Our core service processes IP addresses submitted via API queries. These queried IP addresses are logged temporarily for rate limiting and abuse prevention, then aggregated and anonymized.

Website Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to collect anonymized browsing data including pages visited, time on site, referral source, and device type. IP addresses are anonymized before processing.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our IP intelligence services
  • To process transactions and send related information
  • To send technical notices, updates, and support messages
  • To monitor and analyze usage patterns and trends
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized access
  • To comply with legal obligations

Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your account plus 30 days after deletion. API query logs are retained for 90 days for debugging and abuse prevention, after which they are permanently deleted. Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

Third-Party Services

We share information with third parties only as necessary to provide our services:

  • Payment Processing: Stripe processes payments on our behalf. We do not store credit card information.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics (with IP anonymization enabled) for website usage analysis.
  • Infrastructure: Cloudflare for CDN, DDoS protection, and edge computing.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with our website. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Your Rights

GDPR (European Economic Area)

If you are in the EEA, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time.

CCPA (California)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@iptruth.com.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
